Over the past year or so I've been willing myself to broaden my tastes.
That may sound more like the needs of a 5 year old than a 25 year old, but my palette isn't varied.
I wouldn't go as far to say I'm a fussy eater, but meal wise, I've certainly been raised on a fair amount of beige food. Pasta, cheese, pizza, crackers - yes please.
Snack wise, my default is chocolate 9 times out of 10.
Drink wise, I glug away far too much tea.
My favourite treat would be a milkshake.
So imagine my horror when most of the advice I'd been given or read about acne and eczema was to cut out milk as it can make these conditions worse. Milk is my fave, oh dear :/
I had considered completely cutting milk out of my diet for the whole of May, but I soon realised that just cutting out milk in my tea wouldn't be enough: I'd need to avoid all milk containing products if I truly wanted to see the benefit. How many milk containing products do I currently eat? A Lot.
At the moment I'm not eating enough and I need more energy as it is, so I'm not going to go for such an extreme exclusion just yet. I'm going to try substituting one 'bad' thing for a different thing, not necessarily a healthy thing, just something I might not have usually considered.
This leads me on neatly to the idea of bringing choice back to me.
I'd seen Roxy get a few Graze boxes when she was at Uni a few years ago and was fairly impressed by the set up.
Each box contains 4 small snacks.
You can check the snack selection online and 'bin' any snacks you don't like and don't want to be sent.
Then you're sent 4 snacks from the remainding list you either want to try, like, or love.
You can order boxes twice weekly, weekly or fortnightly.
I chose a Graze Box and a Breakfast Variety Box.
Included in my first box was a leaflet with discount codes and vouchers for friends.
The beef jerky is TOO GOOD!
My breakfast box consits of four yummy looking granolas :)
I love all the little details!
