Klorane Soothing & Anti-Irritant Shampoo with Peony

I can't be the only one who suffers from an itchy dandruff prone scalp but with greasy roots and dry as a bone ends of my hair!?
I'm allergic/irritated by a vast number of well known shampoos and conditioners, with some even burning the skin on my scalp and down my back where the soap washes down :(

I can deal with Head & Shoulders usually, but every couple of months my scalp decides it doesn't like it so I have to switch to something else for a while.
I usually choose Banana Shampoo by The Body Shop, which is very gentle but sometimes leaves my hair feeling a bit dry on the ends.

I've heard of Klorane and it's cult status with it's dry shampoo, so when I looked into the range of shampoos on feelunique.com, I was confident that there would be a formulation to suit my needs.

Rather than go for the oil control option, I went for the anti-irritant shampoo.

I was actually going to do a mini challenge where I used it for at least a week to see what difference it made.
I. Could. Not. Do. It.

On the first use, I barely got any lather, which is to be expected really, as more 'natural' formualtions don't foam as much as shampoos full of chemicals.
I always wash my hair twice, so on the second application I thought I'd get a better distribution, but I didn't, the whole bottom half of my hair was unwashed.
So the lower part of my head was feeling pretty greasy after drying, but I tied my hair back and vowed to apply more product the next day.  I noticed a strange smell but assumed it was just the scent of the shampoo and that it would take some getting used to.

The second time I used the shampoo, I was very generous with the application and so I definately got a full spread of the product through my hair and over my scalp.
Upon drying my hair, I was shocked: the smell of grease was overwhelming!
My hair felt thick, heavy with grease.
In all honesty, I'd have rather had the smell of camp fire and three days worth of dry shampoo in my hair like after attending Leeds Festival!

So that was it for me, I couldn't bear the thought of 'pushing through' to see if my ahir would balance itself out, as I just felt rank.

I was going to throw it away, but then I thought that it would be very good for my Nan, who has a very irritated scalp and dry frizzy hair.  So far she likes it, so at least it's found an appropriate home!
