I had been using Lush Aromaco solid deodorant for a few
months, when I got to the point where I can only assume the colder
weather made me need it less and therefore I was finding it a bit harsh
to use as my skin was getting dry.
I wanted to branch
out into the wider world of natural deodorants so I chose the Rose
Deodorant by Dr Hauschka, as I love and use quite a few Dr Hauschka
products now.
When I bought this in John Lewis in
Liverpool, I did give it a quick sniff and it seemed fine to me. It was
definitely a more natural rose scent, like as if you were smelling a
crushed rose, stem and leaves and all.
The first time I
used it, I smelt awful, but as I've experienced that even when switching
between mainstream deodorants, I stuck with it hoping that my body
would get used to it.
A few days later and I was becoming embarrassed at the thought of anyone smelling me because the smell was just that bad :/
It
wasn't that I was sweating any more, but that the scent of the rose
deodorant wasn't mixing well with my body chemistry at all.
In terms of dry down it was fairly good for a roll on so I had no complaints there, it's just a shame it smelt so bad on me :/
