Beauts Nov Wk 47

I often frequent the make-up forum specktra, a great place to either control or enable your beauty fix!
Most of it's members are American, so a lot of the beauty talk won't apply to over here in the UK (different releases, sale policies etc) so this is where the UK Release Dates Discussion Thread comes in very handy!
We talk about upcoming beauty releases, heads up on sales and general beauty chat, so why not pop in and say hello? :)

A few of us specktra users have been reflecting on our make-up stashes: I know compared to some people's mine isn't a patch on their hoard but mine is pretty substantial, I still own more make-up than anyone i've personally ever known, and I only have one face to put all of this make-up on!
What with rising beauty costs (how ridiculous are MAC prices getting though, seriously!?) and an urge to buy in a more considered way, i'm looking towards 2014 with a better beauty stand point already.

Specktra member charlotte366 suggested we share what we wear to encourage each other to shop our stashes.  I thought this was a really great idea and I thought it would also make a cool blog post!

Loving this Week

MAC Haute & Naughty Lash: I love the soft fluttery look the fine wand gives.
MAC Lipstick in Nude Rose: even though it's a tad to cool, pale and sheer I just love it!
Liz Earle Sheer Skin Tint in Bare 01: my skin has felt pretty horrid so i've laid off the foundation.
Decleor Nutridivine Nutriboost Soft Cream: to soothe my irritated face!
MAC Cream Colour Base in Luna: my fave highlighter, it really brightens my pale face :)
Stella McCartney L.I.L.Y EDP: a olde woodsy floral.
I've been obsessed with Katy Perry's stunning make-up looks for her new music video for Unconditionally.

The pale pink cheek is so pretty!
I think Illamasqua's Powder Blusher in Katie is a good match for me to get a similar look.

Newness
Stuff i've aquired this week!

Rituals Fortune Scrub: free with Marie Claire Dec, very season appropriate.
Bobbi Brown Ink Liner in Blackest Black: a cross between a felt and ink liner, this will take some practice.
Orly Laquer in Star Spangled: free with Cosmopolitan Dec.
MAC Strobe Liquid Lotion in Golden Elixir: finally snapped one up off eBay.
SHOW BEAUTY Divine Thickening Lotion: smells divine, does the job beautifully!

I also bought a MAC Pro Palette Large Pan and 15 eyeshadow insert, so I depotted some of my MAC shadows, which was very satisfying!
I depotted the shadows using my ghds.
I even managed to depot three shadows that I had in my Illustrated by Julie Verhoeven Smoky Eye Black Kit.  First, I pulled the large plastic part away from the canvas casing. Then I held the plastic over a lit candle, trying to get the flame under where the eyeshadow pans were.  The plastic got very hot very fast so it was super easy to then push on the heated plastic to pop the eyeshadows out. I cut the canvas casing so I could keep the large mirror from the kit with the amazing illustration to the other side :)
I still need to put some magnets on the bottom of the depotted shades and then place their corresponding stickers on them too.
I'm also waiting on some metal pans I ordered from China so I can stick them into the empty pots to take them BACK 2 MAC; silly really that they won't take them without the pan as they only recycle the plastic anyway!

All That Glitters, Apres Ski, Carbon, Memorabilia, Naked Lunch
Outre, Patina, Pincurl, Shroom, Swiss Chocolate
Wedge, Woodwinked

And there we have my beauty week!
