I wasn't fussed on the lipsticks, though I did like the look of Butterscotch eyeshadow, a matte yellowed beige from the 1990 Circa Pre collection.
Butterscotch made the top 3, so then came the wait for the collection to launch.
The By Request lipsticks launched on Tuesday 1st April in the UK, along with the Pro Expansion online. Mac Pro products are now available to purchase online, which is great as I'd asked Roxy to go to the pro store in New York last year, though I wasn't aware that I could have mail ordered pro products from the London pro store!
I excitedly looked through all the pro products, lusting a few shades of the Cream Colour Bases, but it was something called Full Coverage Foundation that really caught my attention: I'd never heard of this Mac product before. It seemed long lasting and versatile in use. I opened a Mac Chat with an advisor and they advised me not to get it as it was stage makeup and not for everyday use. I kind of took that with a pinch of salt, as the advisors are more likely to recommend mainline products over pro ones anyway. I hoped that the durability would mean it was somewhat mattifying. The shade W10 looked super pale too, so hopefully a better match for me than the NC15 colour I'd tried in the past in Mac foundations.
When the By Request eyeshadows launched on Thursday 3rd April, I bought Butterscotch eyeshadow and decided to get the Full Coverage foundation in W10.
Two samples came with my order: Skin Base and Zoom Fast Black Lash Mascara :)
I'm wearing the full coverage foundation in W10 above.
The packaging is the same as the mineralize skinfinish natural.
At 28g you get a lot of product.
The consistency is thick, though it is easy to blend over a primer.
Colour wise, it is VERY pale, one shade up from white, comparible to Illamasqua in 115.
As the coverage is full, I needed to add a fair bit of blusher to add some life back into my face!
It can be sheered out with moisturiser or an illuminator like strobe cream though.
