GLAMOUR Magazine UK Dec 2013 & The Body Shop Joy Card

The December issue of Glamour came with a free Nails Inc nail polish; I chose the colour Big Apple Red.
Inside the magazine was a Body Shop promotion feature, with a voucher called a Joy Card.
The Joy Card would either be worth £3, £15 or £100 off purchases made in store.

Yesterday I was in Manchester visiting the Christmas Market with friends, when we were in need of a carrier bag to put a mug in, so I said I would nip into the Body Shop and buy something so we could get one.
I knew I had a guaranteed £3 on the Joy Card, so I picked up the Lavender Home Fragrance Oil for £4 and went to the till.  The cashier said she was excited for me, as I had £15 on the card!  So to make the most of the freebie, I chose the Honey Bronzing Powder for £13.  I paid the extra £2 and walked away feeling like everything was coming up millhouse!

The Body Shop has recently revamped all of their make-up products, and the packaging on the Honey Bronzing Powder is so pretty with a shiny honeycomb effect :)

I had been meaning to buy this for a while, but as I make most of my Body Shop purchases online, I always decided not to order it as I wasn't sure which shade to get.
It seems as if all 4 shade options are fairly 'light' for traditional bronzing powder standards, so it's not like you could go terribly off.
I picked what I think is the lightest shade: 01 light matte.
Compared to the other shades it seems to have the pinkest undertone.

The compact also features a mirror - very handy!

I can't remember if I used the last Joy Card I got, but I know for sure that I will certainly be using any future ones, as the cashier said they'd also had one with £100 on it that day too!
AWESOME!

- Kerry :)
