When I had done a massive natural beauty order at the end of July, I didn't really need a new mascara but I was keen to switch as many beauty products as possible to cleaner alternatives, so after lusting after how fluttery Elsa Hosk's lashes looked on this instagram photo, I added Rms Beauty's Volumizing Mascara to my order.
Sad to say but I think this will be one of the worst reviews I've given to a product on my blog so far!
I opted for the volumizing formula over the defining as I prefered the look of this brush over the other.
Packaging wise, it's gorgeous <3
A metal tube encased in the simple white cardboard packaging of the line.
The formula is incredibly wet, which could be expected for a box fresh mascara but it was ridiculously so... It's like it wanted to drip off my lashes.
It was also surprisingly heavy, as after a light coat it dragged my lashes down and almost made them poke straight ahead!
For the record, I have very long and curled lashes to begin with, so it's not hard for a mascara to look good on my eyes, so for this one to fail so massively for me really says something!
Usually I struggle with smudging as I have very oily skin, though I never really tested the longevity as I wore it twice and didn't bother again as it looked so bad on me.
If I put the fact that it dragged my lashes down to one side, the look it gave was more familiar of a defining formula: the lashes were long and seperate, so good grief I can't imagine what the defining formula would have been like :/
Here is a grainy picture from my instagram,
hopefully you get the jist of the fact that there's just no height there.
I'm sad to post such a scathing review but as it's a new product I couldn't find many reviews on it before I purchased, so maybe my experience can help you out.
At £24 it was a ridiculously expensive chance to take all for the sake of wanting a cleaner mascara.
